Implementation Consultant Data Archiving Practice This position requires advanced functional knowledge of one or more areas: Oracle Application financials, order management, manufacturing or HR/payroll or significant experience with Sybase-based applications. Experience with RDBMS application implementations, upgrades, customizations, and 3rd party reporting (Noetix, Discoverer, Business Objects etc.) Experience in performance tuning for existing application modules, including table optimization, indexing, cost-based optimizer, and workflow. You will be involved in a variety of deployment activities, including software installation, testing, customization, and performance tuning. Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Midwest, or New York/New Jersey Senior Analyst Data Policy Practice We are seeking an experienced IT professional or technical marketing guru with a deep understanding of application requirements and storage solutions, and of the business requirements that drive storage and archiving architecture and technology selection decisions. This position requires at least 10 years of professional experience in data storage, data management and archiving, working in or with large enterprise IT organizations. It requires knowledge of applications such as email, databases and file services, and their specific requirements for data storage, retention and retrieval. Experience with archiving products from vendors such as EMC, HDS, HP, Ixos, KVS, OuterBay, Veritas and Zantaz will be helpful. This position requires strong analytical and project management skills, and excellent English-language speaking, writing and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will have documented experience solving complex problems, leading cross-functional teams, and articulating policy and technology directions around data storage, archiving and information lifecycle management. Published experts with credentials in areas such as regulatory compliance and litigation discovery, with a focus on electronic record retention requirements, are encouraged to apply. Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Midwest, Boston, or New York/New Jersey Senior Analyst Data Classification and Storage Strategy Practice This position requires at least 10 years of professional experience in data storage, data management and archiving, focused on the selection and deployment of cost-effective data-storage hardware and software solutions. We are seeking professionals with a broad understanding of business application requirements and storage solutions across the full life cycle of data, from creation to disposition. Candidates should be familiar with proven technologies and standards for data storage and migration, and with all of the cost factors that influence the total cost of ownership (TCO) over the life of a solution. Candidates should also be familiar with current hardware and software products from major platform vendors and storage solution providers such as EMC, HDS, HP, IBM, STK and Sun - and with emerging storage solution providers ranging from Avamar to Permabit to Zantaz. The ideal candidate will have documented experience solving complex problems, leading cross-functional teams, and articulating policy and technology directions around data storage, archiving and information lifecycle management. Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Midwest, Boston, or New York/New Jersey
